Description
A late 19th- to early 20th-century natural history chromolithograph by American artist and naturalist Sherman Foote Denton, depicting the Fall Fish or Silver Chub.
Denton was celebrated for his remarkably lifelike fish illustrations, created for the New York State Fisheries, Game and Forest Commission around the turn of the 20th century.
This illustration features a delicately colored freshwater fish, presented in a substantial vintage carved wooden frame with decorative rosettes, a shaped crest, and a soft pink mat. 17" H × 19" W
